I finally got the news I was waiting for yesterday, I start in the Pharmacy full time on Feb 4th. I signed my contract yesterday, my hours have been increased to 28 a week (from 18.45) but there will be overtime going. So no more grocery, top-stocking steps, heavy boxes or queue-busting (going on checkouts)!

I love being in the pharmacy again, I've been helping out over there for the last few months as well as working my grocery shifts. It's been tiring at times but totally worth it.

The rains have come again and are most welcome, its really cooled things down.

Tanis has learnt that the marble slabs I put in his hutch are nice and cool to lie on, he wasn't sure about them yesterday and it was quite funny to see him gingerly tip-toe over them (well as tip-toe as a bunny can hop).

A few weekends ago Anthony took me to St. Fagans National History Museum (aka The Museum of Welsh Life). It is a rather large place, many buildings of interest have been relocated to the museum grounds including a small Celtic village.

There are some really nice carved dragon chairs in the main museum, a Welsh dragon dress, and a large ornate harp. Of course I took photos of all the dragons :)

We need to go back at some point, we only managed to see about half of what they have there.

I got my manga from Waterstones, but only 1 of the 2 volumes was ready to pick up. We popped into the Childline store to say hi to Anthony's mum who volunteers there on a Saturday and I spotted Folklore, Myths and Legends of Britian, a Reader's Digest book from 1973. Its a bit battered but all the pages seem to be there, so that's another one for the hoard.

Anthony brought Dragon Wars today so we're watching that at the moment. The CG beasties look pretty cool, especially Buraki and the Bulcos, although the Dawdlers screamed Gungan shield generators at me (Star Wars Ep 1, BSWGE!) I kinda wanted to take part in the destruction of Los Angeles, it really appealed to my "Raah, Stomp, Crush" side :)

And now I've fallen in love with the celestial dragon. I really enjoyed the film and am very glad I've seen it now, but then I love myths and legends. We're watching the special features now.

BSWGE! = Bloody Star Wars gets everywhere! Something I seem to say a lot, I blame Kate, but only because I can.

I actually had a good head day, it was good thing too as we took Anthony's mum to the cinema this morning to see Indiana Jones. Her and Anthony love Indy and now I've finally seen one of the movies, I'm sure Anthony is going to get me watching the original 3 during the week. We got to see a different Kung-Fu Panda trailer too, I'm really looking forward to that.

We didn't watch Eurovision last night although we did catch a bit of the mini-snippets for voting and saw the pirates. Sadly the pirates didn't win, and neither did the UK who came last. We've sometimes watch the vote results part for Terry Wogan's wonderful commentary but last night we decided to carry on working through Alias season 5.

Speaking of pirates, Tredegar house* is holding a pirates day tomorrow with it being the bank holiday. I'm really hoping its not raining too badly as I'm quite looking forward to it. I'll be taking the camera although I really need to empty the memory cards, the photos from the Welsh Heritage Center are still on there. (*Its unlikely any Doctor Who monsters will be there )
